“Behold, I Make All Things New.” Rev 21:5

God, you are like a fire that burns through the savanna and the cooling rain that washes the ash into the soil. The lupines burst in hues of purple and blue, and it is joyous to walk among them.

God, you have set me on fire and burned through my life. Everything superfluous is falling away. With my whole heart, I follow after you, through the lupines and through the desert.

This reflection makes me grateful for the way God blesses every moment with the potential for growth, love, and the opportunity to come closer to Him. When I am immersed in the routine of work and life, I feel I am speeding through the years like a child rolling down a hill: everything a blur of green and brown and white. Time spent in prayer, in Mass, and at Pastorate events make each moment new and alive. These are times when I can stop, reflect, be with God, and feel the changes He is making in and around me.
