My name is Jessica, and I am a Catholic convert living in Northwest Indiana.

Jesus is Fire is a place where faith, landscape, books, and ordinary life meet. I write about my travels through local places and pages, about prayer and parish life, and about the trials and quiet graces of learning how to live as a disciple of Jesus.
I chose the name Jesus is Fire because that is how Christ moves in my life: like a cleansing fire that burns away what is unnecessary and leaves room for new growth. Thank you to Father Mike for the idea of the name from one of his homilies!
Through prayer, the Mass, and the rhythms of daily life, I am learning to slow down, to notice what God is doing in and around me, and to follow Him wherever He leads, whether through fields of lupine or through the desert.
